prohibited list 2023

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2023 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List), which was approved by WADA’s Executive Committee (ExCo). The List comes into effect on 1 January 2023. We’ve summarised the most important changes below:

Tramadol joins list in 2024

The narcotic Tramadol will be prohibited in competition from 1 January 2024. The delay allows time for the change to be communicated to athletes and their support teams. It also gives the scientific community time to adjust the exact procedural details to ensure fairness for all athletes.
